Role Description The Junior Finance Assistant/Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role supports day-to-day finance operations, including preparing and processing invoices, updating and reconciling accounting records, and assisting with month-end closing activities. The individual will help track payments, manage basic accounts receivable and payable tasks, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time. The role involves generating simple financial reports, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting internal and external audit requirements. The Junior Finance Assistant/Executive will also collaborate with other teams, respond to finance-related queries, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support problem-solving.
  • Candidates should possess invoicing skills, including preparing, checking, and tracking customer and vendor invoices accurately.
  • Candidates should possess foundational finance skills, such as understanding financial processes, cash flow, and basic reporting.
  • Candidates should possess accounting skills, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and use of accounting software.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills to work with internal teams, external partners, and respond clearly to finance queries.
  • Candidates should ideally have a diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools, with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Candidates with prior internship or entry-level experience in finance or accounting, and familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations, will have an advantage.
