Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and components that support PETRONAS operations and projects. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing technical drawings, performing calculations, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. The role also involves supporting project execution, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical input for new products, facilities, or process enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the industry or work-related field as required by COMPANY.
  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical design and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and models.
  • Experience or familiarity with Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating resources, and tracking progress.
  • Capability in Research and Development (R&D), including conducting technical studies, evaluating new technologies, and proposing improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional certification or registration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in cooperative, oil & gas, or industrial environments is beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
