  • To assist with the due diligence of potential Datacenter sites
  • Good understanding of APAC countries with knowledge of North East Asia
  • Be able to present findings to Executive Management Team
  • Engage customers professionally and effectively to understand their business and technical requirements, and to consult, design and propose winning network and fibre solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to build strong customer relationships, supporting customers in identifying business opportunities related to fibre connectivity and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the region in various functions, including but not limited to sales, network design, construction, critical operations, and asset management teams to deliver fibre and network solutions to customers.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, both internal colleagues and external vendors, carriers, or partners on the developed fibre solution to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with delivery capability.
  • To lead, prepare, and submit high-quality solution proposals based on RFP documents received from customers, ensuring compliance with fibre, network, and technical requirements and specifications.
  • To analyse customer technical requirements and benchmark them against market trends, carrier offerings, and evolving fibre technologies to develop optimised and resilient solutions.
  • Establish internal project briefs, fibre implementation strategies, procurement and contracting approaches (including carrier engagement), long-lead items buy-out, analyse project risks, and develop project timelines based on the agreed solution with the customer. Prepare and submit reports to Management and Group for approval.
  • Manage and organise design and technical review meetings between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to finalise the fibre and network solution for implementation.
  • Manage internal stakeholders to identify and establish the overall fibre delivery schedule for project implementation to meet customer timelines and contractual commitments.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of the agreed fibre solution from contract execution, detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover to critical operations and asset management teams.
  • Monitor and report project status to Management at various stages of implementation, proactively highlighting risks, dependencies, or potential delays.
  • Tackle complex solution challenges arising from fibre network implementation and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance to internal teams to drive continuous improvement in fibre solution delivery and standards.
  • Manage assigned strategic accounts and provide leadership coverage or support for the team as required.
  • Act independently as a single point-of-contact for the customer on executive-level escalations or issues related to network and fibre solutions.
  • Other duties as and when necessary, associated with the role

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or above, preferred major in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience. Candidates with experience in fibre networks, telecommunications infrastructure, data centres, or design consultancy firms, and who have worked through a full project lifecycle from design to commissioning and handover are preferred.
  • Working experience or strong knowledge in fibre network design, carrier coordination, redundancy and route diversity planning, including testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to work directly with Senior Management and manage effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong public speaking capability.
  • Resourceful team player with a genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent support to internal and external customers.
  • Experienced in fast-paced, large-scale, dynamic, complex, international operations.
  • Able to develop comprehensive, concise, and executive-level management reports.
  • Possess drive, tenacity, and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving network technologies.
  • Willing to walk the ground to verify fibre routes, site progress, and engage on-site teams where required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with AutoCAD, network design tools, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel for short business trips within Asia Pacific countries.
  • Familiar with relevant telecommunications, fibre, fire, and building codes, as well as applicable international standards.
