Responsibilities
Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks precisely according to job specifications to meet quality standards
Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements to guide fabrication and repair work
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on metal structures to ensure structural integrity
Inspect welding work to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition to support efficient operations
Adapt to additional ad-hoc duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understanding designs, specifications, and diagrams to determine the appropriate welding process.
Operating welding equipment: Utilizing various welding techniques like MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Sourcing and preparing materials: Measuring, cutting, and preparing metal pieces for welding.
Performing welding tasks: Joining metal parts with precision and accuracy.
Inspecting welds: Ensuring structural integrity and quality.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Demonstrate hands-on welding experience to effectively perform welding tasks
Ability to perform welding independently to contribute to project completion
Maintain physical fitness and apply safety practices to perform tasks safely
Exhibit proactivity and work independently to meet work demands
Willingness to work overtime as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
