About the role

We are looking for a talented, experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost management, compliance, audit coordination, cash flow management, and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial records. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic business decisions.
• Perform cost accounting and cost analysis to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage regulatory and external audits and act as the key liaison with auditors and relevant authorities.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Review and approve payment vouchers, supplier payments, staff claims, and reimbursements.
• Monitor customer accounts, aging reports, and collection activities to optimize cash flow. Ensure monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support continuous process improvements within the finance function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders including banks, suppliers, customers, auditors, and government agencies.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience in cost management or cost accounting.
• Experienced managing a full set of accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Sound knowledge of local statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with SQL will be an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Independent, proactive, meticulous, and highly organized.
