Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) Hiring! Full Time Senior Engineer, Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

MRT Corp is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support the Penang Mutiara Line.

The Senior Engineer will work with the Project Manager to plan, execute and deliver the CMMS for the Penang Mutiara Line.

The role includes technical design, stakeholder collaboration and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within the required timeframe and financial constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing CMMS activities.
• Review and ensure compliance of system designs, technical documents and contractor submissions with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with other railway systems and stakeholders to support successful system integration.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to achieve project milestones, quality and safety objectives.
• Support testing, commissioning and system-acceptance activities.
• Ensure accurate asset information and maintenance data are developed and incorporated into the CMMS.
• Identify technical risks, recommend mitigation measures and support engineering-change management.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and engineering recommendations for management and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
• Support successful handover of the CMMS to the Operations and Maintenance team.
• Support CMMS technical design in accordance with detailed specifications and requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective interfaces and integration with civil and other systems-engineering teams.
• Support project execution and monitor adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, operators and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support operational-readiness activities.
• Maintain project documentation including technical specifications, progress reports and compliance records.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Railway Engineering or equivalent studies with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent to second class upper.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience and/or in the railway industry, with a focus on CMMS systems, covering both project management and technical expertise.
• Proven experience preparing technical designs and executing projects, including design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, operational setup and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team-management capability.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of CMMS platforms, project management, requirements and planning software/tools.
• In-depth knowledge of CMMS standards, operation and maintenance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
