Role Description The Senior Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang, responsible for leading and executing automation and control system projects from concept through commissioning. Daily activities include overseeing project engineering and design, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The role involves managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and supporting procurement and installation activities for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. The Senior Project Engineer will troubleshoot technical issues, participate in system testing and commissioning, and provide technical guidance to junior team members. The position also requires close collaboration with clients to clarify requirements, present solutions, and maintain strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with experience in automation, control systems, and industrial environments.
• Candidates should possess effective Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, and cost control.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and partners.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, preferably with platforms from Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Yokogawa.
• Proven track record in leading projects in oil & gas or industrial sectors, including site supervision and commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards (ISO 9001 or similar frameworks).
• Ability to work on-site in Kajang, manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
