Responsibilities

Automotive TechnicianJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, service, and repair vehicles. The successful candidate should have strong technical knowledge, good troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality repair standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle problems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
  • Perform engine oil, filter, battery, brake, tyre, and other preventive maintenance services.
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics using scan tools and interpret diagnostic trouble codes.
  • Carry out electrical and electronic system troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Perform road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicles are operating safely.
  • Identify additional repair or maintenance requirements and communicate findings clearly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and service work completed.
  • Follow workshop procedures, manufacturer specifications, and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Work effectively with service advisors, supervisors, parts personnel, and other technicians.
  • Stay updated on new automotive technologies, diagnostic methods, and repair procedures.

Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Automotive Technology/Automotive Engineering.
  • Relevant experience as an automotive technician is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to use automotive diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service information.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess a valid driving licence.
  • Willing to work overtime when required.

Pay: $2,300.00 - $3,500.00 per month
