Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Inbound to manage and oversee the overall inbound warehouse operations, ensuring all incoming goods are received, verified, processed, and stored accurately and efficiently.

The role is responsible for inbound performance, SLA achievement, manpower planning, inventory accuracy, team leadership, and continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily inbound operations, including receiving, unloading, checking, sorting, and put-away.
• Ensure all incoming shipments are accurately verified against PO, DO, supplier documents, and system records.
• Monitor inbound SLA, productivity, accuracy, and operational KPIs to ensure daily and monthly targets are achieved.
• Plan and allocate manpower according to inbound volume, workload, and operational requirements.
• Lead, coach, and monitor the performance of inbound supervisors and team members.
• Ensure accurate and timely stock receiving, data entry, labelling, tagging, and put-away.
• Monitor and resolve inbound discrepancies, including quantity variances, damaged goods, wrong items, and documentation issues.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Customer Service, Inventory, Outbound, and other relevant departments to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure proper inventory control and maintain high levels of receiving and location accuracy.
• Monitor warehouse capacity, space utilisation, and put-away efficiency.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly inbound performance reports.
• Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to improve productivity, manpower utilisation, cost efficiency, and process accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, and 5S / housekeeping standards.
• Support and participate in cycle counts, stock audits, inventory investigations, and stock reconciliation.
• Conduct regular team briefings, performance monitoring, coaching, and follow-up on operational or disciplinary matters where required.
• Identify operational risks and work with management to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support warehouse projects, system improvements, process changes, and peak-season / campaign operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager / Head of Operations.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, inbound, logistics, or fulfilment operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in e-commerce fulfilment, 3PL, or high-volume warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations, inbound processes, inventory control, and SLA management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and WMS or basic warehouse systems.
• Strong leadership, manpower planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to analyse operational data and translate findings into process improvement actions.
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal departments and relevant stakeholders.
• Mandarin speaking is required due to the nature of the role and business communication requirements.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, or extended hours when required during peak periods and campaigns

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
