Manager – Strategy Consulting (Generalist Role)

We are partnering with a leading global strategy consulting firm to hire a Manager for its Jakarta office. This is a generalist role, offering exposure across industries and functional topics, advising senior executives on their most critical strategic and operational challenges across Southeast Asia.

The firm operates at the highest level of the strategy consulting market, regularly competing with MBB firms on complex, C-suite engagements across the region.

As a Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading project teams, driving client impact, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s presence in Indonesia and the wider region.

The Role

• Lead workstreams and manage small project teams across a variety of industries and functional topics
• Own key client relationships at senior management level
• Structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems
• Deliver high-impact recommendations to C-suite stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts
• Mentor and develop junior consultants

This is a broad-based generalist position, providing exposure to strategy, transformation, operations improvement, growth strategy, and organisational topics rather than a single sector specialism.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8+ years of experience in strategy consulting (generalist background preferred) or a mix of consulting and industry leadership
• Experience delivering work comparable in scope and complexity to MBB-level engagements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering end-to-end projects
• Exposure to Southeast Asian markets (Indonesia experience preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
