Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity controls.
The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to protect enterprise systems, applications, networks, and data against security threats while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, systems, and security events for potential threats.
- Configure and manage cloud security services, policies, and access controls.
- Implement IAM, MFA, RBAC, privileged access, and security policies.
- Perform security hardening of servers, cloud workloads, applications, and network components.
- Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- Support vulnerability assessment, remediation, and security patching activities.
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Implement and maintain security monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Support incident response and investigation activities.
- Ensure secure configuration and deployment of cloud resources.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the SDLC and DevOps processes.
- Prepare security documentation, reports, procedures, and technical recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and relevant industry standards.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, infrastructure security, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
- Microsoft Azure
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of:
- IAM / RBAC
- Network security
- Firewalls and security groups
- Encryption and key management
- Vulnerability management
- Endpoint security
- Security monitoring and logging
- Incident response
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, or cloud security platforms.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, SSL/TLS, and network security concepts.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or similar.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Added Advantages
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD security, Infrastructure as Code, and container security.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes security.
- Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, AZ-500, SC-200, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience supporting security audits, compliance assessments, and remediation activities.
- Experience working in an enterprise or regulated environment.
