Job Description

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Executive to manage and oversee the company’s payroll operations accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle payroll matters independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for multiple entities and employees.
  • Ensure accurate processing of salaries, allowances, overtime, commissions, deductions, unpaid leave, claims, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Handle statutory contributions and submissions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD and HRDF, where applicable.
  • Ensure payroll calculations and payments are completed accurately and within the required timelines.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, salary changes, new joiners, resignations, promotions, and other employment changes.
  • Prepare payroll reports, salary summaries, variance reports, and other management reports as required.
  • Reconcile payroll records with accounting records and identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, management, and relevant external parties regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Handle employees’ payroll enquiries and resolve salary, statutory contribution, tax, and deduction issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian employment, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee salary and personal information.
  • Support payroll audits and provide relevant documentation when required.
  • Review and improve payroll processes, controls, and SOPs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with other HR and Finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant payroll experience, preferably handling payroll for multiple entities or a sizeable workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll and statutory requirements.
  • Good understanding of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD and HRDF.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting systems.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information professionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in payroll software such as HR2000 Quick Pay, or other HR/payroll systems will be an advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
