Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HR Business Partner/Industrial Relations (HRBP/IR) expert role based in Shah Alam. The role involves partnering with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, advising on workforce planning, and supporting change management initiatives. Daily responsibilities include managing employee relations cases, overseeing disciplinary and grievance processes, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. The HRBP/IR expert will monitor compliance with labor and employment laws, support performance management cycles, and provide coaching to managers on people-related matters. The role also includes preparing HR reports, contributing to continuous improvement of HR practices, and supporting engagement initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Human Resources (HR) and HR Policies knowledge, with experience implementing and interpreting HR frameworks.
  • Candidates should possess Employee Relations and Industrial Relations expertise, including handling grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Candidates should possess solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with practical experience ensuring regulatory compliance and advising stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess Performance Management skills, including setting objectives, facilitating reviews, and supporting development plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an HRBP or IR-focused role within a complex, fast-paced organization, ideally in manufacturing or automotive.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, integrity, and a commitment to fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory people practices.
