JOS Malaysia Hiring! Full Time L2 Network Engineer (Datacom- Campus Network - RM 7500) in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

Minimum Requirements:

• Huawei HCIP Datacom certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Data Communication/Network Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Huawei Data Center Network (DCN) and Campus Network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and implementation experience with VXLAN, EVPN and M-LAG.
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching and network redundancy.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network incidents independently.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Analysis

·      Resident engineers monitor alarms and analyse and handle abnormal alarms based on the running status, capacity, performance, and logs of the product.

Fault Recovery

·      Resident engineers locate and rectify faults on site and quickly recover services to minimize the impact of faults on services.

Routine Inspection

·      The resident engineer checks the running indicators, logs, performance, and basic configuration information of the product based on the inspection list and clears the alarms in a timely manner to ensure that the product runs properly.

Change Assistance

·      Based on the customer's request, O&M event, or fault, the resident engineer assists in expanding, replacing, and repairing the software and hardware of the product based on the resident O&M requirements and the customer's process.

Service Response

·      Triggered by customer requests, responded to customer requirements, and provided support services for customers. For example, product use consultation, technical assistance, service request, service provisioning, data query, and third-party commissioning assistance.

System Backup

·      Resident O&M engineers formulate system backup policies based on customer requirements or product maintenance requirements, periodically back up and check configuration parameters or key data storage and quickly restore the system to the state before the fault occurs.

Configuration Information Maintenance

·      If the configuration information changes during the event handling, troubleshooting, and change operations of Huawei products, the resident engineers update and maintain the configuration information, such as the product configuration、network topology、infrastructure information and so on based on the customer's requirements.

Asset Information Maintenance

·      If asset information changes due to incident handling、troubleshooting、change operations of Huawei products, the resident engineer updates and maintains the asset information of the responsible products as required by the customer, and regularly maintains the asset ledger or stocktaking, such as shelving、delisting、on-line、offline of assets. Add, delete, and modify information.

·      Mainly support customer technical inquiry. HUAWEI Storage / Data Com / DCS. Simple or hard issue, just raise SR to TAC.

·      Perform daily check on the storage status, if there is any issue, inform customer and support accordingly.

·      Handle minor changes raised by customer, must follow HUAWEI change management.

·      If there is any activity at DC, need to apply the PTW or VRF form for engineer to come and RE only act as customer.

·      In DC, RE need to help vendors to come in, monitor, and verify if work complete or not.
