Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, production planning, productivity improvement, quality control and production team development. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on manufacturing leadership experience and a proven track record of achieving production targets while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet output and delivery targets.
• Manage manpower, machines, materials and production capacity effectively.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks and minimise downtime.
• Lead production teams and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operators.
• Drive productivity, OEE, cycle-time, labour-efficiency and capacity improvements.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure product quality and reduce defects, rework, waste and customer complaints.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and improve production SOPs, processes and KPI/visual management systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Support ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX and customer audits.
• Work closely with QA, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, Sales and Operations teams.
• Support new product introduction, process optimisation and factory expansion/transformation projects.
• Prepare production reports and provide performance improvement recommendations to Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Production/Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing/production management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing production teams and achieving output, quality and productivity targets.
• Experience in textile, bedding, furniture, plastics, foam, FMCG or high-volume manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, scheduling and production control.
• Experience in Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma or continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of quality control, RCA, CAPA and ISO 9001 is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, workflow optimisation and workplace safety.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Hands-on, floor-oriented leadership style with strong accountability.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Willing to work fully onsite and support business expansion/relocation when required.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
