Role Description The Construction Supervisor is a contract, on-site role based in Kertih, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities for oil and gas facilities and related infrastructure. This role coordinates site teams and contractors, ensures work is executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, and monitors progress against schedule and budget. The Construction Supervisor performs regular inspections, enforces construction safety practices, and facilitates clear communication among project engineers, contractors, and operations personnel. The role involves reviewing work permits and method statements, resolving site issues, reporting on construction status, and supporting commissioning readiness while maintaining a strong focus on safe and efficient execution.

Qualifications

  • Strong supervisory skills and experience in site supervision for construction or oil and gas projects.
  • Proficiency in communication to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in inspection activities, including verification of workmanship, materials, and compliance with drawings and standards.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety, including hazard identification, risk mitigation, and enforcement of safety procedures.
  • Experience in oil and gas or industrial construction environments, preferably with onshore facility projects.
  • Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for construction in the energy sector.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kertih, adapt to changing project needs, and make sound decisions under time constraints.
