Role Description The Procurement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company policies and project requirements. The Procurement Specialist will evaluate and select suppliers, conduct market research on pricing and availability, and support contract negotiation to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of goods and services. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring supplier performance, coordinating with internal stakeholders (such as project, engineering, and finance teams), and ensuring compliance with company standards, ESG commitments, and relevant regulations. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvement, supporting risk management in the supply chain, and contributing to procurement reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong procurement and purchasing skills, including experience with procurement processes and purchase orders.
  • Candidates should possess supplier management skills, including supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
  • Candidates should possess contract-related skills, including contract negotiation and basic understanding of commercial terms.
  • Candidates should possess analytical skills for cost analysis, data-driven decision-making, and market research.
  • Relevant experience in energy, engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement or ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
