Role Description

HUB Distributors is in the midst of a significant business transformation — restructuring the organization and raising the bar across the workforce as we professionalize the business. We're looking for a hands-on HR Manager with strong leadership experience to help lead this transformation, not just maintain existing HR operations.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, reporting directly to the CEO, with the mandate to reshape how HR operates as the company scales. The HR Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations — recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations — while developing and implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with local employment regulations, and advising leadership on workforce planning and organizational development. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting managers in handling employee issues, coordinating training and development initiatives, maintaining accurate HR records and HRIS data, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. This role will play a central part in aligning HR strategy with business objectives and driving change management efforts as the organization transforms.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading HR through periods of organizational change, restructuring, or workforce transformation, ideally in a growing or transitioning business
• 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 2-3 years managing a team or function independently
• Strong ability to make and stand behind difficult people decisions — performance management, restructuring, terminations — with sound judgment and ownership
• Demonstrated success building HR capability from the ground up or professionalizing an existing HR function
• Confident operating with senior leadership as a strategic partner, not just an execution arm
• Strong expertise in core HR functions, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
• Experience in compensation and benefits administration, HR policy development, and HR compliance with Singapore employment laws and regulations
• Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS), data management, and basic HR analytics to support decision-making and reporting
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proven organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Prior experience as an HR generalist or HR manager, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational environment
