Company Description LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is a family-focused destination that combines a LEGOLAND theme park, water park, hotel, and SEA LIFE aquarium in one LEGO themed location. With more than 70 hands-on rides, slides, shows, and attractions, the resort offers an immersive mix of adventure, education, and fun. It is the first resort of its kind in Asia, designed especially for families with children aged 2 to 12. Team members contribute to creating memorable experiences for guests, whether they visit for an action-packed day trip or a short break. Role Description The Reservations Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort in Iskandar Puteri. This role is responsible for handling reservation inquiries for the hotel, park tickets, and packages via phone, email, and online booking systems. Day-to-day tasks include managing booking requests, confirming and updating reservations, providing accurate information on rates, availability, promotions, and resort facilities, and ensuring guest details are recorded correctly. The Reservations Assistant works closely with the front office, sales, and operations teams to maximize occupancy, support revenue goals, and resolve booking issues in a timely and courteous manner. The role also involves responding to guest queries, upselling suitable products or experiences, and maintaining high standards of guest service in line with LEGOLAND brand guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong reservations and booking management skills, including experience with reservation systems and basic understanding of inventory control.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain options clearly and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Candidates should possess solid customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, problem-solving, and building positive guest relationships.
  • Candidates should possess basic sales skills, including upselling relevant packages and promotions while respecting guest needs and preferences.
  • Relevant experience in hospitality, travel, or tourism reservations is preferred, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Comfort with using computer-based systems and good numerical skills for handling rates, discounts, and payment information.
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field is an advantage; additional language skills are beneficial.
