Position Summary:
The Cleaner / Clinic Helper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic clinic environment while providing general assistance to clinic staff and patients. The role includes cleaning and housekeeping duties, assisting patients with their belongings and mobility, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of the clinic/dialysis centre.
- Clean treatment areas, waiting areas, toilets and common areas.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties and disposal of waste according to centre procedures.
- Help staffs with basic daily tasks when required.
- Assist patients with carrying bags and personal belongings when needed.
- Assist elderly or mobility-impaired patients with moving around the centre safely.
- Ensure supplies and common areas are neat and well organised.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Responsible, reliable and hardworking.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning and assisting duties.
- Friendly, patient and caring towards patients, especially the elderly.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in cleaning, healthcare or clinic settings is an advantage.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends or public holidays when required.
Working Hours: 8am-4pm / 12noon -4pm
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic/dialysis centre.
- Clean treatment areas, waiting areas, consultation rooms, staff areas, toilets and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and wipe surfaces as required.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and areas according to clinic procedures.
- Empty and dispose of general and clinical waste appropriately, following the centre's infection control and waste disposal procedures.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required.
- Report any maintenance, safety or cleanliness issues to the supervisor.
2. Patient Assistance
- Assist patients, particularly elderly or mobility-impaired patients, when entering or leaving the clinic.
- Assist patients with carrying bags, personal belongings and other items when required.
- Provide support to patients when moving between the waiting area, treatment area and other parts of the clinic, within the scope of the role.
- Assist patients with wheelchairs or other mobility aids when required.
- Ensure patients are moved safely and comfortably.
- Alert nursing staff immediately if a patient appears unwell, unstable or requires medical assistance.
- Maintain a friendly, respectful and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
3. Clinic Support
- Assist clinic and nursing staff with general non-clinical duties.
- Prepare and arrange rooms and common areas for daily operations.
- Assist with moving and organising supplies and equipment.
- Ensure patient areas are tidy, comfortable and ready for use.
- Assist with stock arrangement and replenishment of non-medical supplies.
- Perform simple errands or other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
4. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow the clinic's infection prevention and control procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Handle cleaning materials and waste safely.
- Follow proper procedures when cleaning areas used by patients.
- Report spills, hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- No specific formal qualification required.
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, healthcare or a similar environment is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning, lifting and assisting duties.
- Able to assist elderly and mobility-impaired patients safely.
- Responsible, reliable and hardworking.
- Friendly, patient and compassionate when dealing with patients.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
