As a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst, you’ll be specialising in both cross-border and local M&A transactions, navigating deals with international, regional, emerging enterprises, financial investors and accomplished local companies. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Roles & Responsibilities
- Your day-to-day activities are expected to vary based on the needs of the projects. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be flexible and adaptable.
- Participate in executing deal activities, including building financial models, conducting valuations, due diligence, and performing financial analysis.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic growth opportunities and market trends.
- Business Development & Deal Origination: Identify and develop potential M&A opportunities by sourcing potential clients, acquisition targets and investors through market research, cold calling, networking, and other business development initiatives.
- Due Diligence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform due diligence on target companies, including legal, financial, and operational assessments.
- Deal Documentation: Support the preparation of deal documentation, including presentations, term sheets and review of agreements.
- Identify potential targets/ investors based on market research, cold calling and/ or other business insights.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. ACCA/ CFA is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong command of English language is essential.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
