Job Summary

• The position is meant to increase our capacity to serve APAC customers, mainly in the fields of Spectrum and Signal Monitoring and Network Management Systems (NMS). The qualified candidate will work in APAC Delivery Team of Kratos Communications Singapore, responsible for system integration across one or several exciting and innovative new projects. The qualified candidate will perform standard and advanced system engineering duties: implementation, integration, test, technical documentation, on-site installations, testing, and training. Integration work will be done in factory (Kratos Communications) and may involve some amount of travels, mainly in the APAC region (i.e. 15-20% in average).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system integration activities with local and remote KRATOS team members to ensure project alignment
• Select vendors and procure third-party software and equipment to fulfill project requirements
• Participate in system design to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and technical standards
• Integrate subsystems to build fully operational systems that meet performance criteria
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues to maintain system functionality
• Execute comprehensive test campaigns to validate system performance and reliability before deployment
• Manage shipping and receiving logistics to support timely project delivery
• Perform installation, cabling, and related tasks on-site and in the factory to facilitate system integration
• Report project progress regularly to supervisors to maintain transparency and track milestones
• Write, update, and maintain clear technical documentation in English for system components and procedures
• Provide technical expertise and clarifications during customer meetings to support project success
• Conduct configuration management and document reviews to ensure quality assurance and compliance
• Deliver training sessions to customers on system operation and maintenance at customer sites or Kratos premises
• Travel within the APAC region approximately 15-20% to support installations and customer engagements
• Maintain a positive and professional image while working independently or collaboratively
• Take initiative to make informed decisions without direct supervision to advance project goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Fluency in written and spoken English to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents including Interface Control Documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and communication
• Technical proficiency in radio frequency (RF) principles to support system integration tasks
• Knowledge and practical skills in databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL for managing system data
• Programming and scripting skills to support software integration and automation processes
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems for system deployment and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments to manage software components efficiently
• Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, and network troubleshooting
• Skills in computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information in compliance with company policies
• Ability to understand and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
• Willingness and ability to travel and work effectively across different cultures

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronics and Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience in RF systems, spectrum monitoring, signal monitoring and analysis, telecommunications, or satellite communications
• Singaporean Citizenship or PR status to enable Singaporean Government Security Clearance
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO/IEC 27001 information security management systems or other recognized cybersecurity standards
• Familiarity with Singapore’s BizSafe and applicable workplace safety and health requirements
• Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internships are encouraged to apply
