Requirements

• Diploma, NTC or equivalent qualification in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Draftsmanship or a related field.
• MANDATORY: Hands-on experience using either Allplan or Tekla Structures.
• Experience in precast concrete modelling/detailing is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of precast concrete design, detailing, reinforcement and production processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing models and drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with design, production and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for precast concrete elements, including walls, slabs, beams, columns, staircases and other precast components.
• Prepare accurate shop drawings, production drawings and reinforcement layouts based on design requirements and precast manufacturing standards.
• Convert design information into constructible and production-ready BIM models and drawings.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, drawings, calculations and relevant document control records.
• Coordinate with design engineers, production teams and site personnel to ensure models and drawings are accurate and practical for manufacturing and installation.
• Review and cross-check drawings and BIM models prepared by other modelers to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve modelling, detailing and coordination issues before production.
• Support BIM coordination and clash detection activities.
• Make revisions to BIM models and shop drawings based on engineering, production or site requirements.
• Ensure drawings and models are updated according to the latest approved design information.
• Assist the design and production teams in resolving technical and detailing issues related to precast elements.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a precast concrete manufacturing environment.
• Experience preparing precast shop drawings and reinforcement detailing.
• Experience coordinating BIM models with structural and architectural drawings.
• Familiarity with precast production, mould preparation, reinforcement and installation processes will be an added advantage.

Important:
Experience in either ALLPLAN or TEKLA STRUCTURES is COMPULSORY for this position. Candidates without practical experience in either software will not be considered.

 Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeler to support our precast concrete manufacturing operations at Ulu Choh, Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate 3D BIM models, shop drawings, reinforcement details, and production drawings for precast concrete elements.

Candidates MUST have hands-on working experience with either Allplan or Tekla Structures. Experience in precast concrete detailing and manufacturing will be a strong advantage.
