About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, coordinating, and maintaining BIM models for architectural, structural, and/or MEP projects.
The role requires strong hands-on experience with BIM software, model coordination, clash detection, BIM standards, and project documentation. The candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, BIM Coordinators, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and high-quality BIM deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models based on engineering and design requirements.
- Create and manage BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other relevant BIM platforms.
- Prepare architectural, structural, and/or MEP models, drawings, schedules, and documentation.
- Perform model coordination and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks.
- Identify and resolve design and modelling conflicts in coordination with engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain Revit families, templates, parameters, and project standards.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project specifications, BIM Execution Plans, and applicable standards.
- Extract quantities, schedules, and relevant information from BIM models.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support project teams in resolving technical issues.
- Perform BIM model quality checks and ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
- Support the implementation of ISO 19650 principles and BIM standards.
- Coordinate BIM data and information exchange among various project disciplines.
- Assist in developing BIM workflows, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain proper version control and documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Support project delivery teams with BIM-related technical issues and troubleshooting.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Good knowledge of Navisworks Manage and clash detection.
- Understanding of BIM modelling and coordination processes.
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, or MEP engineering workflows.
- Experience in creating and managing Revit Families.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and documentation practices.
- Understanding of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 is an advantage.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Dynamo for Revit.
- Python or C#/.NET for BIM automation.
- Revit API.
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
- IFC and BIM interoperability.
- COBie and BIM data management.
- Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Experience working on international BIM projects.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant BIM certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
3–7 years of relevant experience in BIM engineering, modelling, coordination, or digital engineering.
Candidates with experience in AEC, infrastructure, commercial buildings, residential developments, industrial projects, or MEP projects are encouraged to apply.
