We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Executive to join our team. This is a fully on-site position for someone confident in handling full-set accounts independently and in working closely with management, sales, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process invoices accurately and on time.
- Prepare and process payments while ensuring all supporting documents and approvals are complete.
- Handle a full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare timely management reports.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare monthly depreciation schedules.
- Monitor debtor ageing reports and work closely with the sales team to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow reports and forecasts to support the company’s financial planning.
- Handle banking-related matters, including payments, account administration and liaison with financial institutions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained and filed.
- Assist with any other ad-hoc assignments or responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Responsibilities
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of relevant working experience in handling a full set of accounts.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end closing, financial reporting and general accounting procedures.
- Proficient in AutoCount accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
