Job Purpose
- To assist the Head, Group HR in implementing and enforcing HR strategies, initiatives, and governance across Lagenda Properties Berhad.
- This role acts as the front-line HR liaison to business units - ensuring all HR policies, programs, and decisions are well communicated, executed, and delivered effectively on the ground.
- The position operates in close collaboration with HR Shared Services, HR Operations, and General Administration teams to ensure end-to-end support and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
A. HR Business Partnering & Coordination
- Support the Head, Group HR in driving HR initiatives and managing employee-related matters for Lagenda departments.
- Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR policy clarifications and routine advisory.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between management, employees, and HR specialists.
- Ensure all HR directives, programs, and initiatives from Group HR are implemented, monitored, and reinforced effectively within Lagenda.
B. Employee Relations & Advisory
- Assist in managing employee relations matters including discipline, grievance, and attendance issues.
- Support investigation, documentation, and recommendation processes in collaboration with HR Shared Services (IR).
- Conduct staff engagement or counselling sessions when necessary and ensure follow-through actions are completed.
- Reinforce compliance with company rules, code of conduct, and statutory obligations at all times.
C. Performance & Workforce Planning
- Coordinate the KPI/KRA cascading and performance appraisal cycle for Lagenda employees.
- Track probation confirmations, contract renewals, promotions, and performance improvement plans.
- Compile and validate manpower data for annual budgeting and structure reviews.
- Support workforce rationalization and optimization exercises as directed by the Senior Manager.
D. Policy Implementation & Initiative Delivery
- Ensure all HR initiatives, policies, and enforcement measures are delivered, communicated, and implemented effectively at all levels of Lagenda.
- Monitor the progress and compliance of HR programs (e.g., policy updates, engagement activities, culture initiatives) and provide feedback for improvement.
- Promote employee awareness and understanding of HR processes and initiatives.
- Recommend practical enhancements to policy execution based on ground observations.
E. Governance, Reporting & Audit Support
- Maintain updated records on headcount, movements, and HR activities within Lagenda.
- Prepare monthly HR business reports and dashboards for submission to the Senior Manager.
- Support internal HR audits, ISO documentation, and ensure procedural adherence to HR and administrative SOPs.
- Follow up on non-compliance findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
F. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with HR Shared Services (Recruitment, Performance & Reward, L&D), HR Operations, and GA teams for timely support and issue resolution.
- Assist in executing onboarding, transfers, and demobilization processes for Lagenda staff.
- Support group-wide initiatives such as employee engagement, culture building, and reward recognition programs.
Job Requirements
A. Education & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
B. Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in stakeholder's relations, and familiar with HR operations.
- Exposure to property development, construction, or/ and familiar with industries and department functions in related industries is advantageous.
- Experience in handling performance management cycles, employee engagement, and policy implementation preferred.
C. Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Malaysian Labour Laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Familiar with reporting tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to provide practical HR solutions.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
