Company Description AMX Money Exchange Sdn Bhd is a licensed Money Services Business approved by the Central Bank of Malaysia, offering money exchange, remittance services, and wholesale banknotes. The company’s origins date back to 2007 under the name Metro Money Exchange Sdn Bhd, focusing on importing and exporting foreign currency banknotes. Metro Money Exchange was acquired by AMX Money Exchange Sdn Bhd in 2019 as part of a strategic expansion initiative. In July 2020, the business underwent a rebranding to AMX Money Exchange Sdn Bhd to strengthen its market presence and support continued growth. AMX operates with a focus on compliance, reliability, and customer-centered financial services in Malaysia.


Role Description The Information Technology Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring systems and networks, handling user support requests, and ensuring the availability and performance of IT infrastructure. The Information Technology Executive will perform troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues, provide technical support to internal teams, and maintain security and backup procedures in line with regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with vendors, assisting in system upgrades and implementations, documenting IT processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of technology solutions that support money exchange and remittance operations.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Information Technology and experience managing IT Operations in a business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to resolve hardware, software, and user-related issues efficiently.
  • Practical knowledge of Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and basic security practices.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur, collaborating with cross-functional teams and responding to operational IT needs in real time.
  • Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with IT security, data protection, and compliance standards, preferably in financial or regulated industries.
  • Good communication skills, service-oriented mindset, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments, basic server administration, and common business applications is an advantage.
