About the role

You'll own everything to do with our warehouse workforce: finding them, onboarding them, rostering them, paying them, and keeping them. Around 10 to 25 people across three sites, made up of full-time, part-time and casual workers. This is a build role, not a maintain role. The systems don't fully exist yet. You'll be setting them up, breaking them, and fixing them — starting small with a handful of people and scaling from there.

Key responsibilities

• Publish shift schedules at least two weeks in advance across three warehouses, two shifts, seven days

• Match staffing levels to forecast order volume — including campaign days, where volume can double

• Manage same-day gaps and last-minute cover

• Run the hiring pipeline end to end: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers

• Build and run a referral programme with existing workers

• Onboard new starters — contracts, documentation, orientation, first-shift setup

• Manage offboarding properly: equipment return, locker clearance, access removal, final pay, exit questions

• Prepare monthly payroll and reconcile timesheets against actual attendance

• Submit EPF, SOCSO and EIS contributions accurately and on time

• Maintain employment records to Employment Act standards

About you

• 2+ years in HR, people operations, or HR administration

• Working knowledge of Malaysian employment law — Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS

• Hands-on experience running payroll and statutory submissions

• Comfortable with shift-based rostering across multiple sites and irregular hours

• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, written and spoken

• Confident with spreadsheets and HR systems

• Own transport and willingness to travel between warehouse sites

• Able to work occasional weekends during peak periods

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, retail or F&B

• You've hired blue-collar or frontline staff before, at volume
