Hiring! Full Time Accounts Team Lead in Johor - Ricebowl

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead/ Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong in accounting and taxation, experience in managing a team, and comfortable engaging with clients as well as driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Account Associates

• Allocate and review work to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance for team development

• Ensure team adherence to internal processes, deadlines, and professional standards

Business Development

• Assist in driving the growth of the Malaysia team by identifying new business opportunities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded

• Develop strategies for expanding the client base and increasing the firm's market share in Malaysia

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee the full set of accounts, including preparation and review of management accounts

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international financial standards

• Review journals, reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the team

Tax Compliance & Advisory

• Handle and review corporate tax computations and tax submissions

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations and updates

Qualifications & Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation required to sign off on accounts

• Possess a Malaysia Tax Agent Licence or have a membership with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA) to ensure adherence to professional accounting and tax standards

• Proven experience in managing a team within an accounting or finance environment

• Strong business development skills with a track record of driving growth

• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and accounting standards

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
