About the role

Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors and workers. Ensure quality of work in accordance with specification and drawing. Check, schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials. Monitor site progress and ensure all works are done as per schedule. Liaise closely with main/sub-contractor, consultants and the operation team to ensure timely completion of projects. Monitor, record and control material usage or transfer at the site and monitor machinery and material wastage on site.

Key responsibilities

• Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications

• Coordinating labour resources and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment

• Operating and implementing coordinated work programmes for sites

• Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety

• Arranging submission of plans to local authorities

• Arranging building inspections by relevant authorities

• Establishing and managing budgets, controlling expenditure and ensuring the efficient use of resources

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction management

• MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project

• Capable of site coordination and able to work under minimum supervision and intense pressure

• Good time management to meet with targeted time frame

• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English. Knowledge of Mandarin is of added advantage

• Must possess own transport

• Willing to travel outstation
