Senior Purchasing Executive

TC Precision is looking for an experienced Senior Purchasing Executive to support our growing operations in Johor Bahru.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, independent and able to source electronic and mechanical components quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and have a strong sense of urgency and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Source electronic and mechanical components based on BOM and project requirements

• Obtain quotations, pricing, availability and lead times quickly

• Independently identify and develop new suppliers locally and internationally

• Manage shortages, long lead time items and urgent component requirements

• Source alternative components where required and coordinate with Engineering for approval

• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time and commercial terms with suppliers

• Manage purchase orders and closely follow up on deliveries

• Support Sales, Engineering, Production and Planning with sourcing requirements

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information

• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, pricing and responsiveness

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience in electronics manufacturing

• Strong experience in electronic component sourcing

• Able to source both electronic and mechanical components

• Electronics engineering, electrical engineering or electronics manufacturing background preferred

• Proven track record of fast and effective component sourcing

• Able to work independently and find alternative sources when normal channels are unavailable

• Good understanding of BOMs, component specifications, lead times and MOQ

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

• Meticulous, organised and attentive to detail

• Strong communication and follow-up skills

• Able to manage multiple sourcing requirements at the same time

• Must be a team player and comfortable working across Sales, Engineering, Production and Quality

Preferred Experience

Experience in EMS, PCBA manufacturing, semiconductors, connectors, wire harness components, mechanical parts, authorised distributors or component obsolescence management will be an advantage.
