What are we looking for?

Arcadis has an excellent opportunity for a BIM Designer, to join our advanced technology design team. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and ambitious team, having responsible for delivering all aspects of BIM execution on multiple semiconductor projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their technical experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. Our team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast-paced environment of our clients’ sites.

This position will support our APAC Regional and Global Semiconductor projects based out of our Singapore office and travel to or station at our client project site on need basis.


Job Scope:

  • Collaboration tool management, including project folder structure, access administration, IP requirements, file and platform maintenance if required, project team training.
  • Assist the lead in development of BIM Project Execution Plans (PEP) meeting the owner’s expectations.
  • During design ensure models comply with PEPs, LOD matrix, attribute standards, and file naming conventions.
  • During construction ensure subcontract models adhere to design intent and adjudicate differences and clashes. Point of escalation for change control path.
  • Analyse, monitor and coordinate 3D BIM content model readiness prior to model start.
  • Review the model and track contractor progress to 100% model ready for fabrication. Coordinate or escalate concerns to model tracking.
  • Schedule and lead required model coordination and model review meetings.
  • Monitor and maintain BIM model compliance to routing zones, maintenance and safety clearance violations. Verify all deviations to the said zones and clearances.
  • Conduct clash detection and adjudicate findings with the appropriate project team members.
  • Confirm that rules and settings are maintained for clashes to ensure constructible clash free model.
  • Project notification of final agreed IFF models.
  • Prepare visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage to support all stages of the project with internal and external stake holders.
  • Support all project presentation needs for views, animations, timelines, etc.
  • Hold coordination meetings with project team members. The frequency will be determined by the project requirements.
  • 3D model constraint management
  • Engage with Stakeholders that system arrangements, system configurations, etc. meeting owner/stakeholder needs.
  • Manage / Update BIM Project Documents.
  • Assess performance against specifications and contract GRs.
  • Support QS and Estimators in information extractions.
  • 4D Scheduling / Simulation using Autodesk Navisworks if required by project.
  • Provide BIM status and escalations in appropriate forums.


Job Requirements:

  • Must possess 5+ years' experience in design production plus BIM management in an A/E/C firm.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD (or equivalent software), and a skilled user of digital technology tools.
  • Other duties assigned for the project by the line manager.
