The Opportunity

As a trusted security advisor, you'll work closely with technology leaders, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to design secure solutions, assess cyber risks, and drive security-focused decision making across a wide range of initiatives.

You'll be responsible for balancing business objectives with security requirements, ensuring modern platforms, applications, and cloud environments are protected against evolving threats while enabling innovation and growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing expert security architecture guidance across major technology and transformation programmes.
• Assessing solution designs, identifying security risks, and recommending pragmatic controls and mitigations.
• Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to embed security into solution design from inception.
• Influencing stakeholders at all levels to achieve secure and commercially sensible outcomes.
• Contributing to the evolution of enterprise security standards, patterns, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Supporting governance processes and ensuring appropriate risk management practices are adopted.
• Advising on emerging threats, industry trends, and modern security best practices.
• Mentoring colleagues and promoting security awareness across technical teams.
• Improving architectural processes, methodologies, and security design approaches to drive consistency and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in Security Architecture, or a Solution Architecture background with strong exposure to cyber security.
• Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience designing security solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of risk management, security governance, and secure architecture principles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.

Domain Expertise In One Or More Of The Following Areas

Cyber Defence & Security Operations

Experience with technologies and concepts such as:

• Security monitoring and detection platforms
• Security information and event management (SIEM)
• Threat detection and response
• Security automation and orchestration
• User and entity behaviour analytics
• Incident response and investigation
• Cloud security architectures and controls

Identity & Access Management (Workforce)

Experience with:

• Authentication and authorisation frameworks
• Identity governance and lifecycle management
• Privileged access management
• Directory services
• Zero Trust principles
• Access and entitlement management
• Cloud identity platforms
• Secrets management

Customer Identity & Access Management

Experience with:

• Customer authentication and authorisation
• Identity lifecycle management
• Digital identity and access solutions
• Secure customer-facing platforms
• Modern cloud-native and API-driven architectures

Highly Desirable

• Exposure to cloud platforms and modern enterprise technology ecosystems.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, application security, data security, and infrastructure security.
• Experience balancing security, commercial objectives, customer experience, and delivery priorities.
• Familiarity with security product landscapes and emerging cyber trends.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, cloud security certifications, or equivalent.
• Experience working within mature security and risk management frameworks.
