About The Role

We are looking for a strategic Manager, Corporate Communications and Branding to lead the end-to-end communication, P.R., and brand architecture for the firm. Reporting to senior management, this role will drive high-impact brand strategies, lead crisis communications, oversee senior stakeholder and media engagement, and manage multi-channel campaigns to elevate overall corporate reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and lead annual corporate branding and communications strategies that align with broader business growth objectives.
  • Champion brand governance and corporate identity standards across the organization, subsidiaries, and external partnerships.
  • Direct high-profile communication campaigns for major fund launches, corporate announcements, and market insight initiatives targeting institutional and retail segments.
  • Lead strategic media relations, draft key media statements, and serve as the main communications advisor for C-suite executives during official engagements.
  • Formulate crisis communication protocols and serve as the communications lead during sensitive or critical incidents in coordination with Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Oversee the strategy and execution of CSR and ESG-focused initiatives, ensuring impactful community engagement and reporting.
  • Manage the department budget, measure marketing ROI, and deliver high-level performance insights for executive committee and board reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, business development, and division units to ensure message consistency and seamless initiative execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, P.R., and brand strategy within the financial services, wealth management, or investment sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulatory standards (SC, FIMM, BNM) and investment products.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and storytelling skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing corporate P.R. crises, strategic media relationships, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and budget management skills.
