Role Description The Public Relations Freelancer (Singapore) will support the planning and execution of PR initiatives for clients, with a focus on media relations and brand visibility in the Singapore market. This full-time remote role involves drafting and distributing press releases, developing story angles, and coordinating with journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure coverage. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing client communication, monitoring media mentions, preparing PR reports, and contributing to strategic communications plans aligned with client objectives. The freelancer will collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across PR, social media, and reputation management activities. The role requires proactive outreach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple client projects and deadlines independently.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Public Relations and Media Relations skills, including experience engaging with journalists and securing earned media coverage.
  • Candidates should possess proven ability in drafting Press Releases and other PR materials (pitches, statements, Q&As) tailored to different media and audiences.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Strategic Communications skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives aligned with brand goals.
  • Candidates should possess strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities for digital and traditional media channels.
  • Relevant experience of working with Singapore-based or regional APAC media outlets is mandatory
  • Ability to work remotely full time, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with social media, online reputation management, and basic PR analytics or media monitoring tools is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
