Position - DB2 DBA Supporting Application

Job Summary:
A Mainframe Physical DBA is responsible for the physical design, administration, performance, availability, and maintenance of databases running on mainframe systems.
Key knowledge areas include:
- DB2 for z/OS architecture and administration
- Database, table space, index, and storage management
- DB2 utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, RECOVER, and LOAD
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- SQL and DB2 troubleshooting
- JCL and mainframe batch processing
- VSAM and mainframe storage concepts
- Access/security and database maintenance
- Capacity planning and space management
- Production support and incident troubleshooting
