Role Overview

The Delivery Manager will lead and oversee cross-functional Teams delivering high-quality solutions in the Insurance domain. The role requires deep end-to-end insurance expertise, strong delivery management capabilities, and leadership over Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams (Frontend & Backend Developers). The individual will ensure seamless execution across all pods while driving operational excellence, stakeholder alignment, product quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Leadership

Own end-to-end delivery for all initiatives executed across cross-functional Teams, ensuring timeline, scope, and quality adherence.

Implement Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies to streamline execution and ensure predictable delivery.

Drive delivery governance: weekly reviews, status reporting, risk/issue tracking, capacity planning, and performance metrics.

Ensure efficient sprint execution, backlog prioritization, and release planning.

2. Insurance Domain Ownership

Act as the domain authority across the complete insurance value chain:

Bancassurance operations

Sales journeys & partner onboarding

Policy issuance & servicing

Claims processing

Underwriting workflows

Renewals, endorsements, and regulatory compliance

Provide domain guidance to Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and tech teams to ensure solution accuracy and alignment.

3. Team & Pod Management

Lead and mentor the teams within all pods, which include:

Product Owners

Scrum Masters

Frontend Developers

Backend Developers

Drive collaboration and alignment across pods to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.

Enable capability development, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives within teams.

4. Stakeholder Management

Engage with internal and external stakeholders including business leaders, engineering heads, bancassurance partners, and third-party vendors.

Conduct steering committee meetings, product demos, and roadmap reviews.

Ensure effective communication on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.

5. Quality & Compliance

Ensure solution delivery adheres to insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and internal organizational standards.

Oversee testing strategy, UAT readiness, deployment governance, and post-production stability.

Ensure all change requests, enhancements, and incidents are managed smoothly.

Required Skills & Experience

Domain & Functional Skills

15+ years of experience in Insurance Delivery Management,

Strong understanding of insurance operations, digital transformation, distribution channels, and regulatory frameworks.

Experience delivering multi-system integrations involving APIs, partner portals, policy admin systems, CRM, and claims platforms.

Technical & Delivery Skills

Proven track record managing multiple Agile pods (8+ pods).

Strong understanding of application architectures, frontend/backend technologies, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.

Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, ADO, Confluence, and Agile delivery metrics.
