• Main duty is to support advanced quality engineers in new product development responsibilities.
• Creation / update of quality related documentation and reports in all phases of the new product development process
• Support data collection planning and execution activities for new product problem solving
• Co-ordination of risk evaluation / verification activities between metrology lab, reliability lab and NPI (New Product Introduction) team
• Support fixture design, fabrication and coordination with offsite teams.
• Witness and sign-off of packaging (drop) tests
• Liaising with counterparts in other Molex sites in Asia and North America on various advance quality planning activities
• Support NPI debug and qualification activities on shop floor.
• A typical day:
• New product development goes through 8 phases in Molex and on any day, the candidate can be working on various activities in different phases as they support the advanced quality engineers.
• Through a hands-on approach, the candidate will experience and learn of the phases of new product development and the many activities necessary to bring a new electronic product from working with the customer to get nomination of business, to developing the design concept, to design and testing of tools and machines, to verification and validation of product and process performance and qualification with the customer, to hand over to mass production teams for continued production.
• The candidate will learn about the various electronic interconnect technologies and customer applications in data-communication and various specialty industries.
• The candidate will be situated in the design centre but be able to see and learn about the various manufacturing processes as the manufacturing plant is situated at the same site.
• The candidate will also experience and learn of our culture based on Principle Based Management.

• Currently pursuing a Diploma in courses eg Electrical, Mechanical, Automation & Mechatronic Systems, Design (product innovation specialization)
• Basic skills in using Microsoft office suite of products, and comfortable in learning to use new software
• Eagerness to learn, explore and contribute to success of team
• Comfortable in communicating with team members
