What The Role Is
The Deputy Director (Space/Ground Systems) will lead the capability development of the hard-technology aspects of Singapore’s national space capabilities. These include the National Constellation Space and Ground segment, Space Situational Awareness sensors and other hard-technology capabilities on behalf of NSAS.
To deliver on these capabilities, the Deputy Director (Space/Ground Systems) will be responsible for the strategic vision and technical execution of Singapore’s national space capabilities.
What You Will Be Working On
The role will require the Deputy Director to (i) conceptualise the overall NSAS space system architecture, (ii) translate R&D developed by the NSAS Technology/Futures team and the broader RI/IHL ecosystem into national space capabilities, (iii) aggregate the needs from across the Singapore Government and derive the technical requirements, and (iv) coordinate with other government procurement agencies, as necessary, on the procurement and post-delivery system management for NSAS.
The Deput Director (Space/Ground Systems) will be expected to work collaboratively within NSAS, across government agencies, our indigenous satellite expertise (e.g. ST Satellite Systems and Geo Insights) as well as manage satellite and space sensor primes (both local and foreign).
What We Are Looking For
Candidates should have at least 10-years of experience in satellite system engineering technology.
Deep knowledge of space systems and the use of orbit analysis tools is required.
Relevant experience with space technology or payload development is desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The ability to think strategically and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans is important.
Experience in relevant program development and management is required.
