Spinnaker IT Limited Hiring! Full Time CICS Systems Programmer in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

We are seeking an experienced CICS Systems Programmer. This is a full time contract job, but we will consider part time applicants if you can work 3 or 4 days per week. Your valuable experience is sought after for this major project at one of the global banks.

Principal responsibilities

• Handle product installation, customization and maintenance activities of the IBM Z products and tools including CICS Transaction Server for z/OS, z/OS Connect EE, CICS Application File Control(CAFC), CICS JVM, CICS Performance Analyzer, CICS Configuration Manager
• Manage system performance, reliability and availability to service level agreements by using tools including Omegamon, CICS Performance Analyzer, MOI, Splunk, AppDynamic, etc.
• Work closely and maintain good relationships with global application teams in delivering projects and consultancy services
• Determine and resolve problem of managed systems
• Provide operations support including on call and after-hours
• Automate processes including CI/CD pipeline, system changes, housekeeping. monitoring, alerting, capacity management/planning, etc.
• Ensure compliance with security standard
• Develop, manage and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for all managed systems
• Work on global infrastructure projects and standardization
• Create and maintain installation, configuration, and administration documentations

Requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

Proficiency in mainframe (IBM Z) system/middleware, e.g. CICS, z/OS, DB2, MQ

Knowledge of security software tool RACF and performance monitoring using Omegamon, CICS PA, RMF, SMF

Experience on product installation, customization and maintenance of CICS

Good command of both written and verbal English

Excellent problem determination skills and the ability to detect and control any processing anomalies or system errors

Sound analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

Proactive and self-motivated

Good leadership and teamwork skills - Works collaboratively in an agile environment

Banking / Finance background would be beneficial

Knowledge of DevOps principles and implementation of CI/CD pipeline

Knowledge of z/OSMF, Ansible automation flamework, Jenkins and GitHub

• REXX Programming skills
