Job Summary**
Ensure the quality of supplied materials and components to support Jabil's manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement and supplier compliance.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualifications to ensure compliance with Jabil's quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, AS9100, IATF16949).
- Investigate and resolve complex supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (8D, SCAR), and effectiveness verification.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics (e.g., PPM, OTD, scrap rates) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams on new product introduction (NPI) and design changes to ensure supplier readiness and quality.
- Review and approve supplier PPAP/FAI submissions and other quality documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality systems and processes.
- Lead supplier development activities, including training and capability building.
- Prepare and present supplier quality reports and performance reviews to management.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Proven experience conducting supplier audits and assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as required.
