Role Description The Purchasing Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Kapar, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities to support manufacturing and project needs. Day-to-day tasks include processing purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers for quotations, deliveries, and quality requirements, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely supply of materials and components in line with production schedules and project timelines. The Purchasing Executive collaborates closely with production, warehouse, finance, and project teams to resolve supply issues, support risk management, and uphold company standards on quality and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Strong purchasing operations skills, including experience with Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
  • Demonstrated capability in Purchase Management and Procurement, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, and cost optimization.
  • Effective Communication skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers, and to document purchasing activities clearly.
  • Experience in manufacturing or project-based environments, ideally within fixtures, furniture, or related industries.
  • Ability to analyze data, compare quotations, and make sound, cost-conscious purchasing decisions.
  • Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent orders and deadlines.
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Commitment to ethical procurement practices and continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
