Responsibilities

Company Description:

The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MICCI) is one of Malaysia’s leading business chambers, representing companies and businesses across various industries. MICCI provides a platform for businesses to connect, collaborate, exchange knowledge, and engage with government and industry stakeholders. Through its network and activities, MICCI supports its members in building business opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to Malaysia’s business and economic development.


Job Responsibilities:

a. Support MICCI members and programmes in the region according to strategic goals and performance targets.

b. Organise and attend branch meetings, including preparing agendas, recording and distributing minutes, and following up on action items.

c. Respond to trade and general enquiries and circulate important updates to members as needed.

d. Actively engage in member recruitment, relationship management, and retention in line with MICCI’s strategic plans.

e. Provide input and share updates through MICCI’s media platforms, webinars, and publications.

f. Plan and execute branch events such as networking sessions, golf matches, briefings, webinars, roundtables, and seminars, ensuring cost recovery or profitability.

g. Represent MICCI at meetings and conferences, and support fellow staff, with documentation and reporting as required.

h. Conduct surveys and collect data as authorised by the MICCI HQ or branch committee.

i. Organise business matchmaking and meetings for visiting domestic and international business delegations.

j. Establish strong relationships with local business groups, chambers, embassies, and trade commissions.

k. Develop and maintain relations with local, state, and federal government agencies.

l. Collaborate with the branch committee to prepare annual budgets and ensure alignment with approved plans and KPIs.

m. Lead membership fee collection, fundraising efforts, and explore other revenue opportunities to sustain the branch financially.


Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Public Relations, or a related field.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in business development, member or stakeholder engagement, or non-profit/chamber operations.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.


Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.

• Basic knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership, organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

• Proactive, independent, and results oriented.

• Able to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Knowledge of local market trends and competitor analysis

• Capable of working under pressure and handling confidential information with discretion.
