We are seeking a Structural Steel Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed technical and structural designs, prepare calculation reports and shop drawings, instruct drafters and check/amend fabrication drawings.
• Review and improve design and assumptions based on project requirements on competitive and economical approaches.
• Liaise and coordinate with operation teams, clients, consultants and/or authorities on technical issues and to ensure design intents are met.
• Provide technical engineering advice to comply with Singapore design standards, codes, specifications and authorities’ regulations.
• Propose value engineering, design improvement, optimization and innovation to improve operation efficiency and maximize construction profit.
• Follow up with projects in charged closely, visit factory and site to provide technical advices and supports to operation team.
• Other ad hoc job assigned by Technical Manager or the Company. 

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor degree in Civil and/ or Structural Engineering that is recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Preferably to have 2 to 5 years’ experience in steel structure design/ earth retaining stabilizing structures design or equivalent.
• Preferably to be conversant with Excel, Tekla Tedds and Staad.Pro, etc as work required.
• He/ she may need to visit sites as and when the situation requires.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm
