Job Description

Responsibilities

Intern Role

To provide Legal and Administrative support to the Legal document, assisting with Legal research, Documentation, Contract Review, and Compliance-related tasks while gaining practical exposure to corporate legal operations.

Legal Research & Analysis

  • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents.
  • Summarise findings and prepare research notes or briefing papers.
  • Support analysis of legal risks and compliance requirements.

Documentation & Contract Support

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organising legal documents, including:
  • Contracts and agreements
  • NDAs
  • Internal policies and SOPs
  • Maintain proper filing and version control of legal documents.

Corporate & Compliance Support

  • Support compliance-related tasks (e.g. regulatory filings, internal compliance checks).
  • Assist in monitoring changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business.
  • Help prepare materials for audits, internal reviews, or regulatory submissions.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on legal documentation requests.
  • Assist in meeting preparation, including agendas and minutes where required.
  • Support ongoing legal projects and ad-hoc assignments.

Duration

Typically 3–6 months (subject to company and academic requirements).

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Internship must meet university requirements.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic understanding of contract law, corporate law, and legal research methods.
  • Proactive team player who can work independently.
  • Possess good communication & presentation skill
  • Ability to conduct structured legal research and summarise findings clearly.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay: RM1,000.00 per month
