Role Description The Boilerman is a full-time, on-site role based in Dengkil, responsible for operating and maintaining boiler systems to support continuous plant operations. Daily tasks include monitoring boiler performance, pressure, and temperature readings, ensuring safe and efficient steam generation, and adjusting controls in line with operating procedures. The role involves performing routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on boilers and related equipment, as well as reporting any abnormalities or safety concerns promptly. The Boilerman will maintain accurate logs of operational data, fuel usage, and maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Collaboration with production, maintenance, and safety teams is expected to support smooth plant operations and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • Valid Boilerman certification (e.g., Grade 1 or Grade 2) and demonstrated experience operating industrial boilers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of boiler operation, steam systems, and basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, Cogen handling.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices related to boiler and pressure vessel operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret gauges, control panels, operating manuals, and maintenance records accurately.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by plant operations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including climbing, standing for extended periods, and handling tools and equipment safely.
  • Previous experience in palm oil, fats, or related process industries is an advantage; basic computer literacy for logging data and reports is beneficial.
