Description:
About the Role
The Executive, Sales Operations Modern Trade is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end field operations across the assigned region, ensuring effective operational execution, manpower management, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement, promotional compliance, and consistent adherence to company guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role drives measurable field performance for DKSH by leading teams, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Deliver
Take full ownership of the assigned region and ensure smooth, consistent day-to-day operational execution in line with company guidelines and SOPs
Monitor and drive achievement of all operational KPIs, ensuring promotional activities are correctly set up and executed in alignment with approved guidelines and company requirements
Monitor Out of Stock (OOS) performance across the assigned region and ensure results remain within agreed KPI thresholdsIdentify operational gaps proactively and implement timely corrective actions to maintain and improve performance standards
Coach, guide, and train Supervisors and field team members to drive KPI achievement, ensure compliance, and support continuous capability development
Monitor team performance, provide constructive and timely feedback, and follow up on identified gaps to foster a high-performing field team
Ensure clear and effective communication and cascading of company and client requirements across the field team
Own recruitment and manpower management for the assigned region, collaborating with Human Resources (HR) and relevant stakeholders to fill vacancies on time, maintain required headcount, and provide regular updates on hiring progress and onboarding status
Manage all return-related matters for the assigned region, coordinating with warehouse and transporter teams to ensure timely collection, accurate tracking, and prompt escalation of overdue or unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders
Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly operational reports for management review, highlighting key issues, performance results, operational gaps, and recommended action plans within required timelines
Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to manage operational challenges, handle multiple priorities, and collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to deliver effective resolutions
Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
What You Bring
Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or Diploma in Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, in a Merchadising / Sales Merchadising capacity
Basic knowledge of administrative management principles and techniquesProven knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP enterprise resource planning software and BIBO systemsBasic analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a good level of overall computer literacy
Fluency in the local language and in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across diverse stakeholders
Ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Agility in adapting to rapidly evolving digital and operational environments
Collaborative team player who is equally capable of working independently, with a proactive, responsible, and organized approach to work
