Responsibilities
Role Summary
We are seeking an Operations Associate to join our fund operations team in Hong Kong. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our fund portfolio, with a focus on fund accounting, NAV calculations, and liaison with key service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily fund accounting and review Fund Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in coordination with fund administrators
- Coordinate and support annual fund audits, acting as a key liaison with external auditors and responding to audit requests; manage FATCA/CRS and other tax filing and reporting
- Assist with new business initiatives, including fund/managed account set up and onboarding, new account opening, and system migration
- Support the preparation of operational reporting, investor reporting, and regulatory filings in line with fund and regulatory requirements
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations with custodians and fund administrators and resolve discrepancies
- Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day fund operations
- Assist with subscriptions, redemptions, capital activity, and related investor communications
- Support ad hoc projects related to fund governance, compliance, and process improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or operations within asset management, fund administration, or audit
- Solid knowledge of Fund NAV preparation and the fund audit process
- Strong attention to detail, with solid analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with fund accounting or portfolio systems is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to Private Equity and Hedge Fund structures
