The Grid Software Engineer will be a key member of the Software Architecture and Systems Engineering team responsible for prototyping and developing functional requirements for on going software development
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and implement new components
- Feasibility analysis and prototyping
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure quality
- Investigate and evaluate new technologies
- Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in the field of Grid Computing.
- Minimum 2 years experience using object oriented design and analysis methodologies
- Minimum 2 years experience programming on Windows platforms
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrate ability to learn new development practices, languages, and tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience creating graphical user interfaces
- Experience in web services, SOA, ESB, data modeling and databases
- Experience using MDA and code generation tools
- Distributed Systems Experience
