WE’RE HIRING | Data Engineer – Business Intelligence & Dashboards | Singapore

Are you a Data Engineer / BI Developer / Data Analyst with strong SQL, Tableau and cloud data platform experience?

We’re hiring 1 Data Engineer to join the Centre of Excellence Team at SportSG, working closely with business stakeholders and data platform teams to transform data into meaningful dashboards, reports and actionable insights.

Work Location: SportSG, 3 Stadium Drive, Singapore

Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Engagement: 6 + 6 Months

Eligibility: Singapore Citizen / Singapore PR only

Rate: Up to SGD 6,500/month (All-Inclusive)

Experience: 3+ years

All-inclusive rate covers annual & medical leave, medical insurance, phone allowance, CPF, transport allowance and 1 month AWS/Bonus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

SportSG is looking for a Data Engineer – Business Intelligence & Dashboards who can bridge the gap between business requirements and data engineering.

You’ll work directly with stakeholders across coaching, sports development and operations to understand their reporting needs and transform those requirements into curated datasets, interactive dashboards and actionable business insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage with business units to understand data and reporting requirements

Conduct requirements workshops and document KPIs, business rules and reporting use cases

Translate business requirements into clear technical/data specifications

Work closely with AWS Data Architects and Data Engineers

Develop data transformation logic and curated datasets

Build and maintain analytical data models using Amazon Redshift / Data Lake

Perform data validation and quality checks

Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports

Create operational dashboards, ad-hoc analysis and scheduled reports

Optimise dashboards for non-technical business users

Maintain data definitions, business glossaries and dashboard documentation

Support self-service analytics and data discovery across the organisation

️ MUST-HAVE SKILLS

3+ years in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or Data Analytics

Strong SQL skills

Hands-on Tableau experience

Experience with Power BI / QuickSight is also relevant

Experience with AWS / Cloud Data Platforms

Amazon Redshift / Amazon S3 / AWS Glue

Data modelling for analytics

Star Schema / Dimensional Modelling

Strong stakeholder management & communication

Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions

Python for data transformation and automation

AWS Glue Data Catalogue

Salesforce / SaaS data integration

Data governance & data quality

Government / Public Sector experience

Sports / Sports Management domain experience
